Fantasy football is about finding players who will bring the most value to a team. That can be taken in many different ways, but the easiest way to ensure that is to not reach for players who have limited upside. These four players are just a few of the names to avoid when drafting.

Cam Skattebo, New York Giants

Cam Skattebo is a fantastic player who can provide some value in the redzone and in the passing game. Still, the inability to stay on the field is a real concern. The New York Giants have Tyrone Tracy and now Najee Harris behind Skattebo on the depth chart. His snap count raises real concerns for fantasy football in 2026.

Garrett Wilson, New York Jets

Garrett Wilson is a great receiver who has been limited his entire career due to one important fact: he’s on the New York Jets.

Wilson has not been able to reach his full potential due to the continued lackluster talent at the quarterback position in New York. There appears to be even more competition for targets in the Jets offense this season, so fading Wilson should be the way to go.

Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns

Harold Fannin is labeled as a fantasy football bust here due to his absurdly high ADP. The Cleveland Browns don’t have an offense that could justify him being drafted as TE6 and at an ADP of 67. There are many other options at the tight end position who could bring equal value and are being drafted much later than Fannin.

Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts

Alec Pierce was someone expected to see a major uptick in fantasy value this season with the returning Daniel Jones and the departure of Michael Pittman Jr.

That may not be the case anymore. The Colts have added Keenan Allen in recent days, limiting the potential targets for Pierce. The unknown at QB with Jones returning from a serious injury should also push fantasy owners away.

End Of My Fantasy Football Busts Rant

Fantasy football drafts are coming up quick, and being prepared is key to having a successful season. Being weary of certain situations heading into the 2026 NFL season is the most important piece of this preparation. These four busts should be avoided at their current ADP.
