Ravens head coach Jesse Minter described Flowers as being in the “day-to-day range” on Monday. Minter said he feels good about where Flowers is at but added, “We’ll see how the week goes though there.”

There is no official word yet on whether Flowers will play against New Orleans. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the injury is not considered serious and that Flowers will have an MRI, but Baltimore has not issued a formal Week 2 game designation.

Flowers originally injured the same hamstring during joint practices with the Minnesota Vikings in August. Baltimore held him out for roughly two weeks before he returned to practice on Sept. 3.

He was limited on the Ravens’ first Week 1 injury report before returning to full participation later in the week. Then he showed no signs of being limited early against Indianapolis.

Flowers opened the game with a 49-yard catch that set up Baltimore’s opening touchdown. He followed it with a 54-yard touchdown in the second quarter, then did not play in the second half.

Who Steps Up If Zay Flowers Does Not Play?

Flowers is not Baltimore’s only concern at wide receiver. Rookie Ja’Kobi Lane also suffered a wrist injury against Indianapolis, and Minter indicated that Lane could be out longer than Flowers.

Rashod Bateman would be the obvious candidate for a larger role if Flowers misses Week 2. Bateman played 53 of Baltimore’s 68 offensive snaps against Indianapolis but finished without a catch on one target.

LaJohntay Wester and veteran Chris Moore also received more work after Flowers and Lane left the game. Moore had a 53-yard reception, while Wester caught two passes for 15 yards.

Devontez Walker missed Week 1 with a groin injury, and rookie Elijah Sarratt was a healthy scratch. Minter said he has confidence in both players, while Baltimore could also consider adding a receiver from outside the building, according to Reuters.
