Cody Rhodes’ Promo Targets Randy Orton Ahead Of Crown Jewel
Rhodes opened SmackDown with a promo ahead of his match at Crown Jewel against Orton. He flashed a photo of himself after being punted by The Viper, and promised receipts. Their Last-Man-Standing match takes place next week.
Chelsea Green Defeated Nikki Bella To Retain The WWE Women’s Championship
This match lacked any intensity or athleticism, truly a soft and quiet affair. Green kicked out of Bella’s signature moves before rolling her up for the victory. WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan appeared afterward to promote their upcoming Crown Jewel match.

Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton came to Green’s aid, setting up a cash-in scenario by hitting Morgan with her finisher. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez stopped the cash-in attempt, but SKY rushed to the ring to prevent further damage.
Rey Fenix Defeated Ricky Saints To Retain The AAA World Cruiserweight Championship
This match had smooth reversals and tense near-falls. It also featured some of the smoothest and most unique movesets in all of wrestling. A Mexican muscle buster led to Fenix picking up the pinfall victory over Saints.
Jade Cargill Defeated Tatum Paxley
Paxley tried to rush Cargill to gain early momentum, but was quickly outdone by her opponent’s power. The match had a natural back-and-forth, and Tatum brought some unique maneuvers to the women’s division. Her heart, however, wasn’t enough to pick up the win.
“The Demon” Finn Balor Returns To Defend Danhausen Against Gunther
In the spirit of Halloween, Danhausen presented his “most evil experiment ever.” He was, however, met by Gunther, who beat him senseless. The Ring General eventually tossed him into the ring. The Minihausens then rushed down the entrance ramp, but they too were beaten senseless for their comical antics. The true surprise was the return of “The Demon” character from Balor.

Balor put Gunther through a table before setting up a ladder at ringside. With The Ring General on the announcer’s desk, The Demon hit a massive Coup De Gras to end the segment.
Sami Zayn Defeated Trick Williams To Retain The Undisputed WWE Championship
Zayn tried using his championship belt as a weapon while the referee was distracted to set up the finish. Williams countered with a Book End. The match would have ended if not for Johnny Gargano pulling the referee out of the ring during his count. Trick was announced the winner by disqualification, which also meant the champion retained the title.

General manager Nick Aldis didn’t like the result, so he announced the match would resume under no-disqualification rules. An excellent false finish followed, when Williams struck Zayn with a kendo stick. Sami kicked out of numerous pinfalls, creating an electric atmosphere.
The finish featured Zayn using the referee as a shield before hitting a low blow. From there, a title belt to Williams’ skull was all she wrote. Sami now heads to Crown Jewel to face WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
