WWE SmackDown results from July 10, 2026, from Oklahoma City. The show included SummerSlam announcements, a surprise return, a Samoan war, and more.
The show opened with general manager Nick Aldis in the ring, newly returned from a physical altercation with Gunther. From there, he introduced the new Undisputed WWE Champion, CM Punk. After pandering to the crowd and claiming to be a fighting champion, he was joined by “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes. Punk was swift to accept his request for a title shot at SummerSlam. What about Sami Zayn?
Finn Balor vs. Tama Tonga, accompanied by Talla Tonga, was the first match of the evening. Both stars had a quick pace and smooth reversals. Talla ultimately caused a distraction that led to the best false finish of the match. Balor found a way to battle through the numbers disadvantage for the win.
Jimmy Uso and “The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu took the ring for a promo, and immediately called out Solo Sikoa; however, it was Royce Keys who joined them. The segment stalled for a period, as the sides jousted with shallow words. Keys and Fatu have history, so The Samoan Werewolf left the ring, leaving them to have their match.
Solo Sikoa showed up during the match to attack Uso, bringing Fatu back to the ringside. The match carried on, as Keys took a spear for the finish. The Samoan Werewolf eventually snapped, attacking his former friend before giving Sikoa some further attention.
Alexa Bliss, accompanied by Charlotte Flair, took on Jade Cargill, with B-Fab and Michin at ringside. It was a relatively short, soft match, with the commotion on the outside leading to Cargill’s victory. After the match, they worked a spot in which they broke Bliss’ arm.
Carmelo Hayes versus Trick Williams was next. It had a natural back-and-forth and quick pace, but they failed to build the story to a believable false finish.
Turns out, there was no finish for Hayes and Williams, so perhaps that was in the back of their minds. Hayes was attacked by the surprise return of “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin. He put both competitors on their backs before lifting the United States Championship over his head to end the segment.
Gunther called Aldis to the ring, demanding a title shot. Instead, he got a tag match with Sami Zayn, against Rhodes and Punk, at next week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Gunther snapped, beating the life out of Aldis. WWE officials rushed the ring, but they couldn’t remove the chokehold. It took Rhodes’ music for that to happen, but it appeared the show ran out of time, as the screen went black while he was still running down the ramp.
