These WWE Raw results are the first after Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden last weekend. It was also the second-to-last episode before a special two-night SummerSlam. Here’s how it unfolded from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
“The Young OG” Je’Von Evans and Dragon Lee teamed up to challenge The Vision (Bron Breakker and Austin Theory), accompanied by Maxxine Dupri and Logan Paul. Evans and Lee kicked things off with a bang when they dove over the ropes at their opponents during their entrance. From there, unfortunately, everybody’s move sets appeared pudding-soft. The striking was so poor that there were numerous incidents of a clear space between the stars that had to be sold.
The Vision were ultimately too big and strong. Breakker hit a vicious spear before picking up the pinfall victory for his team. Alpha Academy (Otis and Tazawa) temporarily stopped the victors from inflicting further damage after the match, but they’d pay the price as well. They too were left on their backs.
Danhausen was in the ring to give away the Judgment Day’s money, which he stole, but was quickly jumped. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, and WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan stormed the ring and rushed him, but they all powdered when Joe Hendry appeared.
The segment continued backstage, where Judgment Day noticed it wasn’t actually real money. McDonagh threw the briefcase away in disgust, but accidentally struck “The Ruler” Oba Femi. This didn’t go over well, and Femi was granted an immediate match.
Femi absolution demolished McDonagh in this squash match. He goes on to face “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam. This will be the epic trilogy match of their rivalry.
Solo Sikoa demanded Seth Rollins come to the ring, and was swiftly obliged. Sikoa warned Rollins that there’s no way The Bloodline allows him to beat Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, and offered to watch his back.
Rollins said he’d think about it when “The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu showed up. Sikoa made his exit, and Fatu was surprised by a superkick in the ring to end this segment in the WWE Raw results.
“All Ego” Ethan Page and Rusev teamed up for a tag match against Chad Gable and WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta. It had a natural back-and-forth, smooth reversals, and tense false finishes.
Rusev stood out as clearly the strongest of the bunch, including the loudest power moves in the match. That said, Gable and Penta have a match scheduled for SummerSlam, so there was little doubt who would win; an akle lock forced the tapout in these WWE Raw results.
After the fallout earlier in the night, Mysterio, with Morgan, had a match against Hendry. The women’s champ paid off for her man on numerous occasions, including forcing Danhausen to return backstage.
To Morgan’s demise, Danhausen returned with Iyo Sky, who neutralized the threat. All of the commotion led to a pinfall victory for Hendry.
Fatu vs. LA Knight was next. Knight had early control, but it didn’t take long for his opponent to brute his way back into it. Jimmy Uso eventually went to the ringside, where Sikoa attacked him, but it’d be Royce Keys to end the problem. Jey Uso didn’t like that, and let him know with a superkick.
The brawl led to Fatu’s ultimate victory. The Usos joined him post-match, and the trio went on a rampage to end these WWE Raw results.
