Unrivaled has completed a successful 2026 season filled with arena sellouts, expanding to an 8-team league from 6 teams in the inaugural season, with ideas of expanding as the league continues to grow and grow its audience.
Unrivaled saw a new champion crowned in its highly competitive sequel season, as the 2026 Finals MVP Breanna Stewart led the Mist to a victory over Phantom in an intense battle, where Phantom’s Kelsey Plum scored 40 points, as this loss put an end to an 8-game winning streak.
The 2026 season provided fans with trash talk, intense battles, and a dunk that wowed an NBA star in attendance!
After winning last year’s Finals MVP, Chelsea Gray followed up this season by winning the regular season MVP and 1-on-1 Tournament title as well.
Guided by the COY, Roneeka Hodges, Aliyah Boston took home the DPOY after leading the league in blocks and finishing third in the league for rebounds, posting 2.1 blocks and 9.7 rebounds per game, leading as the defensive anchor to the Phantoms successful season.
The top bucket getter in the league was Lunar Owls Marina Mabrey who posted 25.3 points per game and set the basketball internet world ablaze after dropping 27 points in 5 minutes en route to setting the leagues points record in a game by scoring 47 points.
Mabrey’s hot 3-point shooting is the reason why she also led the league in 3-pointers made, making an average of 3.7 per game.
Chelsea Gray is a known bucket getter as well, finishing second in points per game, but she led the league in assists, averaging 6.1 assists per game. Aaliyah Edwards of the Lunar Owls and Veronica Burton of the Mist led the league in rebounds and steals, respectively.
Unrivaled provided its fans with an exciting season, as the upcoming WNBA season is up in the air, the potential for incoming rival leagues will enhance the views of women’s basketball and provide more alleyways for basketball players who are looking for a league to play in while finishing their collegiate career or showcase their talents as a coach.
