There is much talk about the amount of work the Bengals must do to improve this offseason, but the front office seemingly does not care. Once again, the Bengals are greedy and cheap. This time, however, it is with the wrong player. Trey Hendrickson has officially had enough and has no problems saying so.

The Ignorance Of The Front Office

Fans have heard a couple of times that the Bengals will do what they can to extend Trey Hendrickson. As time continues to pass, though, absolutely nothing has been resolved—no trade, no extension, nothing. In fact, according to Hendrickson himself, there has been no communication at all.

Its antics and behavior like this that make the Cincinnati Bengals front office a laughing stock in the NFL. Sure, they extended their star receivers, but the offense wasn’t the problem last season; the defense was. So why are they ignoring their best defensive player?

Trey Hendrickson

Something Is Better Than Nothing

This is a straightforward situation to solve, yet the Bengals make it out to be rocket science. Trey Hendrickson wants to be paid what he’s worth, and rightfully so. So naturally, Cincinnati has two options: pay him or trade him. Instead, as mentioned before, they haven’t even attempted to do either.

Due to that, Trey Hendrickson is threatening to sit out the season as he doesn’t want to play on his current contract. Kudos, Cincinnati, unnecessary drama has now blossomed into an ugly flower.

The End Of My Bengals Rant

Time and time again, the Bengals find a way to embarrass themselves. The scrutiny the front office garners from the media isn’t random; it’s justified.

The mishandling of this Trey Hendrickson situation further proves the downright ignorance of the entire organization. It’s hard to be a fan of a team that doesn’t know how to run one. Wishful thinking is hoping it all changes, but it most likely won’t.
