Stephen Curry and the Warriors have a ton of questions that need to be answered this offseason to get ready for next season. This Golden State team has been through it all this past season. They just never seemed to have a large stretch of games where they were healthy as a group, and that showed all season long. They finished as the tenth seed on the year, and did have a chance to make it to the playoffs, but ended up losing the second game in the play-in. Just like that, their season was over, but most people thought it had ended way before then.
This Team Won’t Cut It For Curry
This might be an eventful offseason for the Warriors if they actually want to try and win with Curry still playing at an elite level. One thing is for sure: they can not win with how the roster is currently constructed. Yes, they were very unlucky this season with all the injuries that they suffered, but it was pretty clear to see that this team was far from being a contender. It will be hard for them to make a major upgrade because they are pretty limited in the assets they have. A lot of their players don’t have much value, which means draft picks will be needed for a big trade.

Golden State would probably love to get off the Jimmy Butler contract, as he most likely won’t play all of next season with a torn ACL. That’s $56 million that they are paying for, and not contributing to anything on the court. Another huge question they have is whether Steve Kerr will come back and coach for them again. Many believe that this was his final season as the Warriors’ Head Coach, and Draymond Green also believes the same, as he talked about it on his podcast. Golden State is going to have to do some major work to put together a winning team again.
End Of Curry Rant
With all of this happening with the Warriors, could their best move actually be trading their superstar, Stephen Curry? We don’t know how the Warriors feel going into next season, but with how far ahead the other teams are, especially in the West, this could be a move they decide to make. Obviously, this is not what the fans want to see. A franchise player being traded is hard on everybody, but it could set this team up for a proper rebuild. We would all love to see Curry be able to compete and end his career in Golden State, but is his time running out to do so?
