Seahawks vs Patriots Score: The Seattle Seahawks began their 2026 title defense in the National Football League (NFL) in a stirring 13-10 come-from-behind win against the New England Patriots at Lumen Field on Wednesday night. Seattle came back to score from a 10-0 deficit, despite the loss of their starting quarterback Sam Darnold. The leadership of their backup, Drew Lock, and their dominating defense were on display.

The Patriots were firmly in control of the game until Drake Maye made his costly errors in the third quarter. He threw three interceptions in the last quarter of the game, one of which was an end-zone interception by Josh Jobe with only 21 seconds left in the game.

Sam Darnold Injury And Drew Lock Heroics

Seattle’s night started terribly. Starter Sam Darnold injured his hip on the opening drive and did not return.

Backup Drew Lock struggled for three quarters – the offense was stagnant and sloppy. In the fourth, he led two late scoring drives, including:

  • A 45-yard TD strike to Jaxon Smith-Njigba (JSN) for an electric touchdown – Seattle’s only TD of the night.
  • A clutch 48-yard FG drive to take a 13-10 lead.

Seattle’s defense did the rest.

Drake Maye Stats – MVP Runner-Up Struggles

Drake Maye, last season’s MVP runner-up, finished:

  • 23/33 for 178 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs
  • 7 rushes for 47 yards

Following a solid performance in the first half, Drake Maye had a difficult time in the second half as New England’s offense was losing steam. The team also faced issues with the new acquisition, A.J. Brown, being out due to an ankle injury. Romeo Doubs also dropped a pass that cost them on the offensive side of the ball.

Mistakes by Maye were the deciding factor, as his three interceptions in the fourth quarter helped Seattle turn around their game. Josh Jobe sealed Seattle’s victory with an interception in the end zone for a 13-10 victory.

As mentioned by Bleacher Report, “While New England was much closer to beating the Seahawks than they were in the Super Bowl, they couldn’t overcome the mistakes made by Maye.”
