The NFL is king, but it’s the most unpredictable league in the world. Any given Sunday, an injury can derail the entire season for a team and change the trajectory of another. Predictability is no fun, but it is fun to try to predict how things will go over an NFL season. It’s the best league in the world for a reason. These teams will win their division this season.

AFC North: Baltimore Ravens

The AFC North is one of the toughest divisions in football. The Ravens are poised to win it, and the Steelers are the only real threat to them among the four teams. Cincinnati’s defense will be abysmal, despite what the offense can do. The Browns will be lucky to win five games. Pittsburgh has a chance to shake things up, but Baltimore will win the AFC North for the third straight season.

AFC East: Buffalo Bills

The AFC East is an easy division to pick. Buffalo won’t have any divisional resistance this season. The Patriots got better, but they aren’t ready to win the division yet. The Dolphins and Jets won’t be threats unless Buffalo gets bit by the injury bug. Josh Allen and the Bills will win the AFC East for the sixth consecutive year.

AFC South: Houston Texans

DeMeco Ryans and CJ Stroud

The Texans have been a threat since CJ Stroud arrived. They will win the AFC South. Jacksonville can compete, but its defense isn’t great. The Colts and Titans won’t scare anybody this season. They aren’t ready to compete. DeMeco Ryans is ready to lead Houston to their third consecutive AFC South title.

AFC West: Kansas City Chiefs

Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes

The AFC West got more interesting this offseason, but the Chiefs will be on a revenge tour after getting embarrassed in the Super Bowl. Sean Payton’s Broncos are good, but they don’t have Patrick Mahomes. The Chargers will be solid, but they won’t have enough firepower to topple the Chiefs. Las Vegas got better, but they aren’t ready to sit at the table with the adults yet. Kansas City’s reign of terror will continue as they win the AFC West for the tenth straight season.

NFC North: Detroit Lions

Jared Goff and Dan Campbell

The NFC North will be the best division in football in 2025. The Detroit Lions lost both coordinators, but they will still win the division. Green Bay will be good, but the Lions can edge them out. Minnesota will contend again. Unfortunately, JJ McCarthy is too big of a question mark to pick them to win the division. Chicago will be better this year, but it will be hard for them in the best division in the NFL. The NFC North can go any way, but Jared Goff and the Lions will win it for a third consecutive season.

NFC East: Philadelphia Eagles

The NFC East can be won by three teams, but it is hard to bet against the Eagles’ defense. The Commanders have potential in Jayden Daniels’ second season. Dallas will compete with a healthy Dak Prescott and the addition of George Pickens, but Philadelphia will be tough to overcome. The Giants got better, but they aren’t ready for the bright lights of the NFC Beast. The Eagles will go back-to-back and win their third NFC East title in four years.

NFC South: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield

The other teams in the NFC South improved, but the division is Tampa Bay’s to lose. The Falcons won’t be a pushover, but Michael Penix is still a question mark. The Panthers improved, but won’t take a big step unless Bryce Young does. The Saints won’t scare anybody this season. Baker Mayfield and all of his weapons will lead the Buccaneers to their fifth consecutive NFC South title.

NFC West: Los Angeles Rams

Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford

The San Francisco 49ers are the favorite to win the NFC West, but betting against Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford is stupid. San Francisco will be the only team to give the Rams resistance. The Seahawks won’t be bad, but they downgraded by swapping Geno Smith and DK Metcalf for Sam Darnold and Cooper Kupp. The Cardinals are better, but they aren’t ready to compete with the big dogs. The Rams won the NFC West last season when everyone counted them out, and they will do it again this season.

The NFL Football

Most of the divisions in the NFL are easy to predict. The NFC will be interesting to watch this season. Every division can go multiple ways. The AFC is more predictable, with the Bills and Chiefs nearly guaranteed to win their divisions with their eyes closed. Keep an eye on the North division in the AFC and NFC for fireworks. Those will be the most competitive divisions in the NFL in 2025.
