With Super Bowl LX right around the corner, the NFL offseason follows quickly behind. We’ll see trades, releases, and signings across the league. 2026 promises some high-level NFL free agents. Where will they land?
WR George Pickens: Dallas Cowboys

The Pittsburgh Steelers traded George Pickens to the Cowboys ahead of the season, and it’s paid dividends for Dallas. Pickens hauled in 92 catches for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns. His role in this offense cannot be overstated, and Jerry Jones would be a fool to let him go.
DE Trey Hendrickson: Chicago Bears

Trey Hendrickson’s time with the Cincinnati Bengals is likely over after last year’s contract dispute. The Bears are in the market for a big edge rusher, and Hendrickson could be a great fit.
While Chicago isn’t exactly rolling in cap space, its roster is still young, which can help it contend now while many stars are still under rookie contracts.
QB Daniel Jones: Indianapolis Colts

Daniel Jones had a career resurgence with the Colts, and it all came crashing down with a torn Achilles. He even squeaked his way into MVP conversations early in the year.
The Colts have been a quarterback away from contending since Andrew Luck retired. Jones has dealt with leg injuries before and has yet to regress because of them. Keeping him around should be a no-brainer for Indy.
C Tyler Linderbaum: New York Giants

With John Harbaugh becoming the head coach of the Giants, there isn’t much that needs to be said here. New York needs a center, and Tyler Linderbaum spent four years with Harbaugh in Baltimore. He’s one of the best centers in football, and this would be a slam-dunk signing for Big Blue’s new era.
RB Breece Hall: Kansas City Chiefs

Breece Hall heading to Arrowhead makes too much sense at this point. The Chiefs need an upgrade at running back, as Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt simply aren’t cutting it.
Hall will likely leave the New York Jets in free agency, and the Chiefs need a strong run game without Patrick Mahomes under center. Both sides would benefit from each other and will likely make it happen.
TE Kyle Pitts: New England Patriots

It’s entirely possible that Kyle Pitts remains with the Atlanta Falcons under new head coach Kevin Stefanski. If he doesn’t, New England might be a nice spot for him.
Pitts has never been fully unlocked in Atlanta. Bring his talents to a Josh McDaniels offense led by Drake Maye, and he’ll shine. Hunter Henry is a solid tight end for the Pats now, but Pitts could give them a terrifying duo.
RB Kenneth Walker III: Seattle Seahawks

While most signs point to Kenneth Walker leaving Seattle in free agency, we should pump the brakes. Zach Charbonnet has a torn ACL and will likely miss all of next season, leaving Walker as the clear lead back.
The Seahawks could easily pursue a replacement for Walker, but who will they find that’s much better? This core brought Seattle to the Super Bowl; there’s no reason not to keep it together.
RB Travis Etienne Jr.: Jacksonville Jaguars

Travis Etienne will be a huge free agent this offseason, but similar to Walker, the Jaguars shouldn’t let him go. His familiarity with Trevor Lawrence, along with his success in 2025, makes it enticing for him to stick around.
Etienne could go to Seattle or Kansas City in free agency, but the Jaguars are on the rise. Liam Coen has unlocked something special in this offense, and Etienne is a big part of that.
QB Malik Willis: Miami Dolphins

Malik Willis’ time with the Green Bay Packers might have set him up for a golden opportunity. When he played in relief of Jordan Love, he was surprised football fans everywhere. Whether he’s a bridge QB or finds a legitimate starting job, he will be a coveted pickup.
Willis is already familiar with the Dolphins’ new head coach, Jeff Hafley. Green Bay’s former defensive coordinator knows the QB position needs to be addressed and can turn to someone he’s already worked with.
QB Russell Wilson: New York Jets

While this is extremely unlikely, it would be a typical Jets move to sign Russell Wilson. New York is loaded with Draft picks over the next two years, and is unable to snag a premier QB in this year’s draft. They’re looking to 2027 and will need a bridge QB until then.
Russell Wilson feels he still has a lot of football left, and he’s already in New York. It’s hard to imagine the Jets will run with Justin Fields for another year. If Aaron Glenn can get decent play out of Wilson, he might be able to keep his job and go get a franchise QB next year.
End Of My NFL Free Agents Rant
It’s far too early to tell where any of these players will end up, but sometimes, pairings make too much sense. The 2026-27 season has been tremendous; maybe the offseason will follow suit.
