Every year, the month of May is overshadowed on the NFL calendar. Whether it’s because of the NFL Draft in April, the start of free agency in March, or the Super Bowl in February, May is a slow time in the NFL. But one of the most important dates of the year is right around the corner. Â
The NFL's Schedule Release Is Quickly Approaching
The second week of May is usually the release of the NFL’s regular season schedule. On this day, many fans look forward to the NFL releasing the dates and times of all 544 regular season games, including the anticipated Thanksgiving, Christmas, and International Games.Â
This year’s date is expected to be May 15th.

2023 - May 11th
2022 - May 12th
2021 - May 11th
2020 - May 7th
2019 - April 17thÂ
*From 2005 to 2019, the schedule was annually released in April before the NFL Draft. It has been moved to May since 2020.Â
