Which Eagles Players Are Represented In The 2024 Pro Bowl
The Philadelphia Eagles ultimately finished short of their expectations during the 2023 NFL season as they were not able to return to the Super Bowl and bring the Lombardi Trophy back home to Philly. In fact, the team was bounced out of the first round of the playoffs in embarrassing fashion to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The disappointing season does not mean there are not individuals on the team that went above and beyond.
Let's take a look at which Eagles players are participating in the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl competitions this weekend. In total, eight Eagles players are representing the team in Orlando, Florida.
Six Eagles Players Were Named To The Original Roster
Offensive Tackle Lane Johnson — Fifth Pro Bowl (2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023)
Center Jason Kelce — Seventh Pro Bowl (2014, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023)
Edge Rusher Haason Reddick — Second Pro Bowl (2022, 2023)
Wide Receiver A.J. Brown — Third Pro Bowl (2020, 2022, 2023)
Offensive Guard Landon Dickerson — Second Pro Bowl (2022, 2023)
Running Back D’Andre Swift — First Pro Bowl (2023)
Johnson, Kelce, and Dickerson help anchor an offensive line that is one of the NFL's best. Brown continues to show he was a Draft Day trade steal back in 2022 as does Swift who was traded for on Draft Day in 2023. Reddick who is from the Philly area has made the Pro Bowl in both seasons since coming over as a free agent.
Two More Were Added Once The Super Bowl Matchup Was Set
Quarterback Jalen Hurts - Second Pro Bowl (2022, 2023)
Cornerback Darius Slay - Sixth Pro Bowl (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023)
Hurts, who had his ups and downs throughout the year makes his second straight Pro Bowl selection and Slay makes his third straight representing the Eagles and sixth overall. Both players were alternates but made the team following the San Francisco 49ers making the Super Bowl as they represent the NFC.
While it would certainly be better if the Eagles were in the Super Bowl, it's nice that several Eagles players were selected by fans and peers to represent the conference in the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl.
