Way Too Early 2025 NFL Mock Draft
Although the 2024 NFL Draft is right around the corner, it is not too early to look at next year's draft class. With many exciting prospects, it was challenging to find the right fit for each team as the player rankings will change drastically in the next year. But without further ado, here is my way too early projected top ten picks of the 2025 NFL Draft.
2024 Projected Picks based on PFF's April 1st, 2024 Mock Draft.
2025 Draft Order based on BetMGM's projected win total.
#1 - New York Giants (from CAR) QB Shedeur Sanders Colorado
2024 Top Pick: WR Malik Nabers
PFF has the Giants taking wide receiver Malik Nabers in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft which the team will likely stick with Daniel Jones at quarterback. But if the Giants miss the playoffs once again, the G-Men will look to move on from the former first-round pick.
In a mock trade with the Panthers, New York sends a future first-round pick to trade up for Shedeur Sanders. Sanders is a talented duel-threat quarterback with all the tools to be an elite quarterback. He will be a star for years to come in The Big Apple.
#2 - New England Patriots - WR Luther Burden III Missouri
2024 Top Pick: QB Drake Maye North Carolina
The Patriots are most likely drafting their quarterback of the future in 2024. But at the moment the team's receiving core is not very strong. Adding Burden III, who had 86 receptions, 1,212 yards, and nine touchdowns, will give Maye or whoever the Patriots draft an elite weapon for years to come.
#3 - Denver Broncos - CB Will Johnson Michigan
2024 Top Pick: EDGE Laiatu Latu UCLA
The Broncos have one of the best cornerbacks in the league in Patrick Surtain, but the team is very inexperienced below him. Adding Johnson, who was one of the best cornerbacks in all of college football last season, would create one of the best defensive-back duos in the NFL. His 29.1 passer rating allowed made him one of the toughest cornerbacks to throw against and he also had four interceptions as well.
#4 - Tennessee Titans - LB Harold Perkins LSU
2024 Top Pick: T Joe Alt Notre Dame
The Titans already have a star linebacker named Harold Landry III, but adding another Harold would help create one of the best linebacker duos in the league. While Tennesee signed Kenneth Murray Jr and already has Jack Gibbens, Harold Perkins would be the elite linebacker that the Titans are looking for.
With comparisons drawn to Haason Reddick and Von Miller, the LSU star has 13 sacks, seven forced fumbles, 147 tackles, and two interceptions in two seasons. A wide receiver could be chosen here based on how Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins do in 2024, but Perkins is too good to pass up.
#5 - Carolina Panthers (from NYG) CB Travis Hunter Colorado
2024 Top Pick: None
The Carolina Panthers drafted their franchise quarterback Bryce Young and after a terrible rookie season, the team upgraded their receiving core and offensive line. While going WR or OL was an option, Travis Hunter is too hard to pass up. He gives Carolina a lockdown cornerback with three interceptions in 2023, but he also had 57 receptions for 721 receiving yards and five touchdown catches. He can play either position and gives the Panthers a lot of flexibility.
#6 - Washington Commanders - OT Will Campbell LSU
2024 Top Pick: QB Jayden Daniels LSU
The Washington Commanders had one of the worst offensive lines in the league last season. This pick is a no-brainer as Washington would be able to build its offensive line to protect Jayden Daniels. Campbell is the best tackle in the draft class and can be a household name in the burgundy and gold for years to come.
#7 - Las Vegas Raiders - DT Mason Graham Michigan
2024 Top Pick: CB Terrion Arnold Alabama
PFF ranked Mason Graham as the top interior lineman in the country. With a championship to his name and unstoppable to block, Graham will be a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks. The Raiders have two of the best linemen in the league Christian Wilkins and Maxx Crosby and adding Graham, who had a stellar season at Michigan in 2023, will create a very scary trio in Las Vegas.
#8 - Arizona Cardinals - CB Benjamin Morrison Notre Dame
2024 Top Pick: WR Rome Odunze Washington, EDGE Jared Verse Florida State
The Arizona Cardinals have a lot of needs that they hope to fix in the 2024 NFL Draft. But after two big holes at WR and EDGE filled in PFF's mock draft, the Cardinals address another need at cornerback. Currently Arizona has Sean Murphy-Bunting and 2023 third-round pick Garrett Williams as their two starting cornerbacks.
Adding Benjamin Morrison out of Notre Dame will give them an incredible defensive back who has nine interceptions in two seasons including six in 2022. He even locked up the number-one receiver in the 2024 draft class Marvin Harrison Jr. His next task is to shut down Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, D.K. Metcalf, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle.
#9 - Minnesota Vikings EDGE Patrick Payton Florida State
2024 Top Pick: QB JJ McCarthy Michigan
After securing a franchise quarterback in 2024, the Vikings decide to fill their edge position. After losing Danielle Hunter, Minnesota is left with Jerry Tillery and Jonathan Bullard at the position. Adding Payton, who had seven sacks in 2023 with Florida State along with two forced fumbles, could add a superstar edge rusher to the Vikings defensive line.
#10 - New Orleans Saints - QB Carson Beck Georgia
2024 Top Pick: T Olu Fashanu Penn State
The New Orleans Saints gave Derek Carr a nice contract in the 2023 off-season, but he didn't have a fantastic season. Although the Saints finished 9-8, the team has a lot of cap problems, and it does not look like the team will come close to the Super Bowl anytime soon. Adding Georgia's Carson Beck could allow the Saints to jump into a rebuild while letting the former Bulldog sit for a year or two.
The first-year starter in 2023 threw for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns and only six interceptions. This upcoming season he will have all scouts on him as he tries to climb the draft boards. While he is going tenth-overall in this mock draft, don't be surprised if Beck is the first quarterback drafted in 2025.
With a lot that can happen between now and then, take a look at what these players might accomplish at the collegiate level this upcoming season. It will be a huge test in which some of them will rise or fall on the list. We'll keep updating over the course of the following months, so stay tuned.
