Time To Respect This Great Eagles Player
The Philadelphia Eagles move to a 12-1 record after their 48-22 win on Sunday against the New York Giants. The Eagles have the best record in the NFL, and a lot has to do with their quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Hurts has been a star this season and the best quarterback in the NFL through the first 14 weeks.
Hurts Is The MVP
Everyone talks about quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Tua Tagovailoa winning the NFL’s MVP, but that discussion needs to stop. They are all great quarterbacks, but the real MVP plays at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, and his name is Jalen Hurts.
MVP race over. That award belongs to and rightful so to J. Hurts. — shannon sharpe (@ShannonSharpe) December 12, 2022
This is Hurt’s second entire season starting for the Eagles, and his first season had a good number of ups and downs, but he did lead them to a wild-card spot in the playoffs, where he lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Buccaneers. That was also Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni’s first season as the lead man, and they were able to make the postseason, but many people had doubts about Hurts and Sirianni going into 2022.
There were talks about how the Eagles should try to trade for quarterbacks like Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson, and Lamar Jackson, which would be an upgrade over Hurts, but the Eagles saw the possibility and talent in Hurts, and they went out and did the smart thing.
Instead of finding another quarterback, they traded for Tennessee Titans star wide receiver A.J. Brown who has been a stud and game-changer for this team.
Hurts has thrown for 3,157 yards, 22 touchdowns, and three interceptions, and oh wait, he also has legs, rushing for 686 yards and ten touchdowns. This is something that an NFL quarterback should not be able to do, and we only see this at the college level but Hurts just hasn’t been good this season; he’s been unstoppable.

When you start 12-1 in the NFL, your quarterback is probably having a great season, and Hurts has been putting on a show that many people still want to doubt. Still, it’s time to put belief that he should be the MVP of the league if he’s not a disaster the next four games, and trust me, he will be a stud, most likely in those games.
Looking Ahead For Hurts
If you want an early Christmas present, there will be an NFC East showdown between the Eagles and Cowboys on Christmas Eve. These two teams have been playing the best football in the entire league over the past few weeks, and it will be a great game.
It will be fun to see Hurts vs. Prescott, and the winner of that game might get the momentum to be the best team heading into the playoffs. However, I don’t see the Eagles losing more than one more game this season, so they will likely win the NFC East and be the number one overall seed in the NFC with a bye in the first round.
The Eagles have been the most fun team to watch this year and Hurts is so much fun. He can find a receiver deep downfield for a touchdown, or he can take off, run for 30 yards, and make the defense look silly.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen was supposed to be doing what Hurts is doing this season after all the hype he has had the past few years and the way he can run, but Hurts has been doing it at a way higher level this season, and it would be neat to see these teams meet in the Super Bowl.
The MVP race should be over at this point, and Hurts should be accepting his award in the next couple of months.
