This Superstar Could Be The Denver Broncos Quarterback Of The Future
The Denver Broncos are entering a new era of football after the team moved on from quarterback Russell Wilson after two seasons. Now head coach Sean Payton and general manager George Paton are now searching for a new quarterback of the future.
With only Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci on the roster, it is very likely that Denver will draft a quarterback in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. This draft class has one of the strongest quarterback groups in recent memory.
USC quarterback Caleb Williams is expected to be selected first-overall by the Chicago Bears, while quarterbacks Jayden Daniels of LSU and Drake Maye of North Carolina are expected to follow within the top five. Other potential first-round pick quarterbacks include Oregon's Bo Nix and Washington's Michael Penix Jr.
While the team could trade up or down, they are hoping that this superstar quarterback from the Michigan Wolverines will fall to them at pick pick twelve. J.J. McCarthy could be a perfect option for the Denver Broncos as they enter a rebuild.
J.J. McCarthy Looks To Bring Success To Mile High
J.J. McCarthy is the 21 year-old junior quarterback of Michigan, who led his team to the 2024 NCAA National Championship with a dominate victory over Washington and fellow draft prospect quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
Now the two-year starter will take his talents to the NFL after throwing for 2,991 yards, 22 touchdowns and only four interceptions in 15 games for the Wolverines and leading them to a perfect 15-0 record in 2023. He only lost one game in two seasons at Michigan.
J.J. McCarthy could follow in the footsteps of Broncos legendary quarterbacks John Elway and Peyton Manning if he has a successful tenure in the Mile High. The team has been looking for an answer at the league's most important position since Manning's retirement in 2016.
