This Maple Leaf Player is Doing Something Amazing Night In And Night Out

The Toronto Maple Leaf’s sit in second place in the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division with 44 points, but their right winger Mitch Marner has a season to remember.

On Tuesday night, Maple Leaf’s 7-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks, Marner had another historic moment. Marner had an assist to center John Tavares in the first period, extending Marner’s point streak to 23 straight games.

Having a streak of 23 points is very difficult to do, and this is something that the NHL and sports world should be paying attention to.

Who Is Marner Trying To Catch

Of course, The Great One Wayne Gretzky has the record with 51 games in a row, scoring a point in the 1983-1984 season with the Edmonton Oilers.

The active players on this list that Marner is trying to catch are Sidney Crosby, who had 25 straight games of points for the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2010, and Chicago Blackhawks star player Patrick Kane who had 26 games in 2015.

It will be challenging to catch Gretzky’s record at 51 games, but there is an excellent chance that Marner will have the record among all active players by the end of the month.

This is a story that the sports world should be watching, and hopefully, Marner will keep this streak alive.
