The Top 5 Wide Receivers In The 2024 NFL Draft!

A Quarterback Is Nothing Without His Receivers

With as great of a quarterback as you may have, no one can succeed without great pass-catchers. Brady had Gronkowski, Manning had Harrison, Mahomes had Kelce, and many more perfect examples.

Teams know this and, for that reason, will be staring down the top talent of this loaded group of receivers this year. With so many teams always looking for these wide receivers, here are my top five bets in the draft this year.

5). Troy Franklin, Oregon

Bo Nix and the Ducks thrived this year in the passing game, primarily due to Franklin's skills. Franklin separated himself from the others in the receiving core, racking up nearly 1400 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns this past season. Franklin's best asset, however, is his speed.

He currently clocks in around a 4.35, the fastest of any of the top receivers in this year's class, and would allow for whatever team that drafts him to stretch the field massively. Speed kills in the NFL. John Ross went top ten just because of it, so with the domination of the Miami Dolphins' speed force core, teams will be looking to replicate it with a new and young rookie.

4). Keon Coleman, FSU

The Michigan State transfer lit it up this past season, and while Jordan Travis got hurt towards the end f of the year, that did not stop him from dominating the competition. While only getting 658 yards on 50 receptions, 11 of those were touchdowns. At 6'4 and 215 pounds, Coleman is by far the best jump ball threat of any receiver in this draft class.

Coleman has excellent control of his body and hands, allowing him to get up and truly dominate opposing defensive backs in one-on-one coverage. Coleman will be an excellent complimentary piece to start his career for whoever drafts him but he could develop into a top-tier wideout if developed properly.

3). Malik Nabers, LSU

Being the Heisman trophy winner's favorite target has its perks, the best likely being how many people see you dominate opposing defenders. Nabers can turn it into another gear when he has to, able to lose and shake defenders at will, seemingly. Nabers also possesses insane physical attributes.

While he may not be 6'4 like Keon Coleman, he uses his incredible vertical very well and can utilize it to get to balls that defenders covering him cannot. There are some questions regarding his route-running ability, but he has dominated in the slot, being able to do absolutely everything. Nabers is a likely top-ten pick, and for good reason.

2). Rome Odunze, Washington

Odunze is a physical playmaker and fuses the ideal qualities of a jump-ball receiver and a slot guy. Odunze checks in at 6'3 and 215 pounds, allowing him to ply on the inside as a slimmer receiver and use his height in one-on-one situations to make tough grabs.

Odunze also compliments this with exceptional route running, being able to run nearly anything at the college level, and a skill that will only continue to develop in the NFL. His speed and physical attributes are nothing jaw-dropping, but we have seen plenty of receivers who are built and play like Odunze thrive regardless of a lack of speed or strength.

1). Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State

Marvin Harrison Jr is easily the best receiving prospect since Calvin Johnson came out of Georgia Tech in 2007. Harrison Jr follows in his dad's footsteps, being a master of route running and how to play against defensive backs. Harrison can shake a defender without ever touching them, and with a sub 4.40 forty due at the combine, it will only make the Ohio State product even more enticing.

At 6'4, Harrison Jr is still among the highest-rated athletes ever in the shuttle cone drill, showing off his insane movement and ability to make quick cuts and lose defenders. He is tall, fast, and incredibly elusive. The only real knock is "average ball control" and sometimes struggling to get yards after the catch, but if your only downside is that you are average, you are doing something right.
