The Tennessee Titans Are Moving In The Right Direction For The Fans

The Titans are holding an open practice for the first time since 2019. Over the years the Titans have had many different ways to engage with the communities of Tennessee.

Why Did The Titans Stop Letting Fans Come To Practice?

When the practices were closed to the public for health concerns during COVID-19 in 2020, most teams allowed fans to return to practices in 2021. The Titans didn't do that. The reason for that is Mike Vrabel. He didn't like the public being at practices and often voiced his opinion on the subject. This wasn’t what most NFL teams did.

Why Is This A Big Deal?

Allowing fans to attend practice serves two purposes. One benefit is that the fans can interact with the players, which helps to humanize them. Fans are eager for any football they can get. Preseason and practices help satisfy the craving until the real games begin.

I Thought Fans Were At Camp The Last Two Years

Fans were allowed in 2022 and 2023. However, the Titans only allowed certain fans to attend a practice. These fans had to be season-ticket holders and were selected by a lottery held by the Titans.

What Should Be The Next Move?

The Titans Caravan is another way the Titans could better reach the communities. If you're not familiar with the Caravan, it's because it stopped in 2020, also because of COVID-19, but has yet to start up again. With the return of open practices, the Caravan could potentially make a comeback. The Titans could benefit greatly by bringing this back.
