The New York Yankees Have Picked The Perfect Guy To Represent Their Franchise

It was a crazy baseball day in the city of New York on Wednesday, with the New York Mets signing star infielder Carlos Correa to a 12-year 315 million dollar deal.

The team in the Bronx, the New York Yankees, were reintroducing their star player Aaron Judge to the media after he signed a nine-year 360 million dollar contract a few weeks ago.

Judge’s contract will keep him a Yankee for his entire career unless something strange happens, but Judge was named the 16th captain in Yankees history on Wednesday.

Judge Is The Perfect Guy

It is a tremendous honor to be named the captain of the Yankees, and Judge is a perfect guy to have that honor. Judge is one outstanding baseball player, but he might even be a better person, and he is a guy you want to represent your franchise.

Judge is the face of baseball, being a stud, hitting 62 home runs, setting the A.L home run single season record last season, and playing for the most historic franchise in all sports.

Most of the baseball world probably missed this announcement since the Mets stole the show, not in New York but around the entire MLB world, but this is an enormous achievement for Judge and should not fall under the radar.

It will be fun to see Judge stay in the pinstripes for the next nine seasons, and it will be interesting to see him take on the captain role. The Yankees haven’t had a captain since Derek Jeter, and they waited a while to find a new one, but they found themselves a great one.
