The Most Exciting NFL Games To Look Forward To In 2024
The 2024 National Football League season is almost here! With the 2024 NFL Draft a few weeks away and the schedule release to follow, it is an exciting time to be a football fan. But even though the schedule is not out yet, the opponents for each team have been released.
We can predict which games this season will be the most exciting. So here are the five NFL games that football fans should look forward to the most, in no particular order.
Cincinnati Bengals At Kansas City Chiefs
It will be an electric return for Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. Seen as a Super Bowl contender before the season, Cincinnati finished 9-8 and barely missed the playoffs despite Joe Burrow's season-ending injury.
The Bengals were the last AFC team to defeat Kansas City in the playoffs and now will look to take down Patrick Mahomes and the reigning champions once again in this exciting rematch of the 2022 and 2023 AFC Championship Games.
Houston Texans At New York Jets
The Houston Texans were the surprise of the season after going from one of the worst teams in the league to winning ten games and the AFC South despite competition from the Jacksonville Jaguars, who started 8-3. Now, they have signed Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs and look like one of the best teams in the NFL.
Meanwhile, the New York Jets looked to return to the playoffs for the first time in over a decade after trading for future Hall Of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. But after he suffered a season-ending injury in Week One, the Jets only won seven games the entire season.
With Rodgers back, along with some new offensive weapons and an upgraded offensive line, this matchup will be a battle of two of the league's best quarterbacks.
Kansas City Chiefs At San Francisco 49ers
These two teams met in an electric Super Bowl matchup just a few months ago, with the Kansas City Chiefs winning in a thrilling 22-19 overtime. Now, we will be getting a regular-season rematch in San Francisco as the 49ers look to get revenge on Mahomes and the Chiefs.
The big question will be if wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will be on the roster or be traded before the season begins. He would be a key X-Factor in the 49ers finding success against the defending champions.
Green Bay Packers At Philadelphia Eagles
The NFL will be making its debut in Brazil and chose two of its best teams to represent. The Green Bay Packers finished 9-8 and were very close to appearing in its third NFC championship game since 2019. With a bright future under quarterback Jordan Love, the Packers have big expectations this season.
So do the Philadelphia Eagles, who were very close to defeating Kansas City in the Super Bowl last year but fell short by three. After falling in the first round last year, the Eagles hope to return to the big game.
Buffalo Bills At Detroit Lions
Remember that amazing Lions-Bills Thanksgiving game from a few years ago? Hopefully, we will get that again in the first rematch since that game. The Lions were so close to their first Super Bowl appearance in team history, and the Bills are still looking to make it back to the big game.
With Josh Allen's stunning arm and Jared Goff's pin-point accuracy, this quarterback matchup will be exciting as two talented teams compete.
