The Browns Have A Big Issue On Their Hands

The Cleveland Browns made a head-scratching pick when they took a kicker in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The kicker was Cade York out of LSU, and he went on a roller-coaster ride in his first NFL season, and the start to his second season is not much better.

In York's first regular season NFL game he hit a 58-yard game-winner to give the Browns the victory over their former quarterback Baker Mayfield and the Carolina Panthers.

The rest of the season was not great, and he went 24/32 on field goals. When you're a kicker and you get drafted in the fourth round you must be a stud and York didn't show anything that says he can be the guy moving forward.

Fast forward to this season, and York has already missed multiple kicks in two preseason games.

What Should The Browns Do?

The Browns have stated numerous times they will not bring in any competition for York.

The team has to do something because the NFL comes down to a field goal in almost every single game each week, and they can not be losing games on the foot of the kicker.

The team has to bring in a veteran now, and if that shakes all of York's confidence then too bad. They can not sit around and wait for York to become the kicker they thought they drafted in the fourth round last season.
