Steelers Week Six Injury Report

After an embarrassing outing against the Buffalo Bills last week the Steelers have a ton of injuries on the report, significant names at that. We take a look at who will an available and on the field this week.

Diontae Johnson – Playing (Hip)

Diontae Johnson finds himself on the Steelers injury list again. He took a knee into his hip on practice Wednesday and didn’t finish, he practiced fully on Thursday and Friday. He said that he is fine and will be available on Sunday.

Cameron Sutton – Out (Hamstring)

Sutton re-aggravated a hamstring issue he dealt with all week last week in the game against the Bills. He did not practice all week and will be out against the Buccaneers.

Ahkello Witherspoon – Out (Hamstring)

Another week with Witherspoon on the list and it doesn’t look to be good. He did not practice all week. He will be out again this coming week.

Levi Wallace – Out (Concussion)

Wallace shows up on the list, this time with a concussion. It doesn’t appear too serious, he did not practice on Wednesday but practiced limited on Thursday and Friday. The Steelers announced he will not be available on Sunday against Tampa Bay.

Terrell Edmunds – Playing (Concussion)

Good news for the secondary, Terrell Edmunds seems to be a go for this week. He has been a full participant in practice all week and will be available on Sunday.

Minkah Fitzpatrick – Out (Knee)

A common name on the Steelers injury report finds himself here again due to a nagging knee injury. He did not practice all week and was ruled out on Friday. Huge blow to the Steelers secondary.

Montravius Adams – Playing (Hip)

Montravius Adams pops up on the injured list due to a hip issue. He did not practice on Wednesday but was a full participant on Thursday and Friday. It is more of a monitoring situation and he will be available on Sunday.

Mason Cole – Playing (Foot)

An injury that would be a huge issue for the Steelers offensive line would be Mason Cole. He was in a walking boot, but recent reports say it was precautionary. He did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday but participated on Friday.

Zach Gentry – Playing (Knee)

Zach Gentry has a knee setback that has him on the injury list. He did not practice on Wednesday but practiced fully on Thursday and Friday. He said he would be good to go on Sunday.

Pat Freiermuth – Out (Concussion)

Another Steelers Tight End that makes his way on the list is Pat Freiermuth. A hard hit last week in Buffalo caused concussion-like symptoms. Pat practiced all week but under the limited tag and the Steelers believed the best route was to sit him for the game Sunday. Huge loss for the Steelers and Kenny Pickett.

Larry Ogunjobi – Playing (Back)

To round out the beaten-up Steelers’ defense is Larry Ogunjobi. Larry is having trouble with a back injury that put him out of last Sunday’s game not allowing him to finish. He did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday however, he did practice fully on Friday.

DeMarvin Leal – Out (Knee)

A late addition to the injury report on Friday is Defensive End DeMarvin Leal. He did not participate in practice on Friday so he will not be available on Sunday.
