Score Prediction: Colts Fry Titans Hotter Than Nashville Chicken In Sizzling Victory

The crown for the AFC South runs through Nashville. Will the Colts figure out the secret sauce to winning it all?

Welcome to Week Seven where the stakes are high, but the scores will be higher. The Colts are heading to Nashville to take on Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, and the Titans. James Schmeits, of the Titans Tilt Podcast is back, along with the Stadium Rant and Indy Intercept staff, to deliver takes hotter than Nashville chicken.

Titans Tilt

James Schmeits: Titans 28, Colts 21

The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time for Tennessee, who look to get multiple starters back this week. The Titans get a rested Henry and Coach Mike Vrabel coming off a bye, who has been excellent when given extra time to prepare.

J.T. Howland: Titans 28, Colts 24

Although the Colts have some momentum after a win against Jaguars, I think the Titans sweep the Colts for the second straight year. Derrick Henry has over 100 yards and Tannehill has a touchdown and an interception. Matt Ryan throws two touchdowns, but will throw a costly goal line interception with three minutes left. The Titans hold on.

Christopher Epp: Titans 20, Colts 17

Both of these teams want to establish the run, and the Titans are slightly better on both sides of the ball. Ryan played really well last week, but I don’t trust him to continue that. I think that Henry will play well and whoever the Colts trot out at RB will struggle, whether it’s Deon Jackson or a limited “J.T.”.

Adam Karnik: Titans 24, Colts 20

With Taylor still not 100%, I think the Colts will continue their slow start. Tennessee is also hot, having won 3 straight. I like the Titans.

Matt Ryan seemed to figure out how to play football again. The Colts on paper are better than the Titans. Rookie wide receiver Alec Pierce will be a difference maker in this game.

Michael Phillips: Titans 21, Colts 17

Even after a great performance by third string runningback Deon Jackson last week, Indianapolis struggles to get the run to work in their favor. With star runningback Johnathan Taylor still hurt, I expect Indy to rely more on the passing of Matt Ryan, which has shown to be costly. The Titans have a lot of momentum after winning three straight games, and I expect that to continue, sweeping the Colts for the second year in a row.

Reese Kunz: Colts 24, Titans 20

This game is practically a coin flip, with both teams having similar identities and game plans of relying on their defense and star running backs. The tiebreaker for me will be Matt Ryan, who has been playing better lately and looking more like the quarterback the Colts expected when they traded a a third-round pick for him this offseason. Ryan has thrown for at least 350 yards and two touchdowns in two of his last three games. I think Ryan’s play as of late and the return of Jonathan Taylor from his ankle injury will be enough for the Colts offense to get the win on the road, tying the season series against the Titans at 1-1.

Justin Perkins: Colts 30, Titans 17

With the consistent progress of Alec Pierce and the offensive line retooled, the team is looking for a revenge game against the Titans. Matt Ryan should be able to orchestrate the offense utilizing the uptempo style game plan similar to last week against the Jaguars. The team need to put pressure on Ryan Tannehill and try and contain Derrick Henry. Each week the defense gets a little better and role players emerge. All parts of the team seem to be gelling at the right time.

Kev Massing: Colts 24, Titans 17

This time, the team flips the script as their up and coming Wide Reciever corps decimates the Titans defensive backfield. Zaire Franklin will soon be a household name as he adds to his NFL-leading tackles total. Derrick Henry will have a solid game, but the Titans passing attack will be locked up by Indianapolis in the fourth quarter.

The #Titans have been outscored 71-14 in the second half this season. Chip Bennett: Colts 31, Titans 17

The team’s newly discovered offensive/scoring prowess continues. The defense yields a net +3 turnover ratio. For the first time in recent memory, the team put together a complete game, in all three phases, for all four quarters.

Chris Lewis: Colts 24, Titans 17

The team’s offensive line continues to improve and protect Matt Ryan. Assuming Jonathan Taylor plays this week, the offensive line will be able to open up some running lanes for him this game. Defense will hold Derrick Henry under 100 yards.

Meghan Hall: Colts 31, Titans 28

Wouldn’t it be something if the team actually puts up back to back weeks of over 30 points of offense? I really want to see the team spread the ball to the playmakers that have gotten them to this point. Give me Alec Pierce, Michael Pittman, Jr., Jelani Woods, and Mo Alie-Cox to all score touchdowns in another aerial bonanza. I like the team in a close one. I fully expect the Titans to make it rain touchdowns as well, but I like the team to make a push late, ending with a Chase McLaughlin game winner.
