San Francisco 49ers Star Suffers Injury On Sunday, Which Will Keep Him Out A Few Weeks
The San Francisco 49ers have been dealing with injuries so far through the first two weeks of the season. This week, they had to put star running back Christian McCaffrey on the IR, which kept him out of the first game of the season against the New York Jets and the second game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The star running back will have to at least miss three more games before returning to action, and another 49ers player will be sidelined for some time.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan stated that wide receiver Deebo Samuel suffered a calf strain on Sunday and will miss a few weeks.
Losing Samuel is a massive blow to the offense, and with McCaffrey already out, the 49ers will need more help from other players.
Tight End George Kittle also got injured on Sunday but returned to the game. Hopefully, he can stay healthy because they will need him big time.
San Francisco has a significant game this weekend when they travel to play the Rams, and Los Angeles is looking to avoid starting the season 0-3 after dropping its first two games.
The 49ers will need to bring their best effort if they want to win because the Rams will bring theirs even though they have also been badly affected by injuries.
