Rhamondre Stevenson Poised For Bounce Back In Fantasy

In 2023, Stevenson had a disappointing season after a terrific season in 2022. It was not all to blame on him, though, as the Patriots' offense struggled for a majority of the year. He also suffered a high ankle sprain in week 13 that forced an end to his season. However, Stevenson's efficiency did go down, as he went from 4.8 yards per carry in his first two seasons to 4.0 in 2023.

This could be blamed on the fact that a lot of pressure was on him as he was one of the Patriots' only real weapons at the time. Stevenson is also a very solid running back in the passing game, both as a blocker and as a receiver. In 2022, he brought in 69 receptions, and in 2023, he still managed to bring in 38, even with him missing time.

With a rookie QB in Drake Maye, there is a solid chance that Stevenson can return to a high volume receiving back. In 2023, he saw his snap percentage drop as he competed with Ezekiel Elliot for playtime. Elliot is no longer with the team, and the Patriots brought in Antonio Gibson to replace him. Gibson will take away some plays from Stevenson but will likely be used more as a change-of-pace RB. Stevenson should take on most of the workload this season as long as he's healthy.

Our consensus projections for Stevenson in the 2024 season are 236 carries for 1,027 yards and 5 touchdowns. In the receiving game, his consensus projection is 35 receptions for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns.
