Randy Orton Signs Extension With WWE
One of WWE's big star's contract has officially been renewed with the company. The pro wrestler that has designed is a man who will hit his finisher out of nowhere. His name is Randy Orton.
Orton has signed a new five-year contract to remain in the company. He will be 49 years old when the deal expires in 2029. Orton has been with WWE for multiple years. While there was concern his career would be over due to the back injury, giving this contract to him is telling. WWE has full confidence that he is 100% and now Orton will remain with the company as a performer for multiple years.
It is also being reported that this deal will shift for more guaranteed money. This means Orton is going to make more than he previously did, which is a plus. Any pay increase is a no-brainer.
Fightful Select also reached out to a member of WWE, and they further commented on the contract by saying, “The guaranteed money associated with contracts now is a drastic shift from what it was in 2019. There have been changes to our live event schedule, touring, international dates, media obligations, merchandise, and social media that would be much fairer to just reach a new deal in many situations,”
It shouldn't be a surprise that Orton stayed with the company, as he had the chance many years ago to leave when AEW was about to start up. He didn't and it is clear he is loyal to the WWE and is going to be a lifer in that company.
Randy Orton will be Gunther’s opponent for Bash in Berlin later this month. It is a match that hopefully will be better than the King of the Ring Finals, as that was a tremendous disappointment.
