Raiders Make Decision On Trading Davante Adams

The Las Vegas Raiders have a very important offseason. After finishing 8-9, the team has a promising future with head coach Antonio Pierce taking over alongside new general manager Tom Telesco, who was the man behind the moves for nearly a decade with the Los Angeles Chargers, the Raiders rival. There are so many questions being asked from reporters and fans alike. The biggest one has been about the future of superstar wide receiver Davante Adams.

The former Green Bay Packer was traded for a first and second-round pick a few years ago after being arguably the best wide-receiver in the league prior to the trade. He was excited to pair up with former college team mate Derek Carr. The veteran quarterback part ways with the team after only one season in Las Vegas, which frustrated Adams. After Jimmy G’s poor play in Paradise, NV, many thought Davante would want out and play for the New York Jets with former team mate and quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Many say that the future Hall Of Dame quarterback was recruiting Adams to join him in The Big Apple.

But after finishing the season strong, Adams seems content with staying apart of Raider Nation. With a new and fresh quarterback possibly on the way, which could be a veteran like Vikings star Kirk Cousins, or maybe a talented rookie like LSU’s Jayden Daniels, Davante would be a key part in creating a successful offense for the Las Vegas Raiders.

General Manager Tom Telesco Has No Plans To Trade Adams

General manager Tom Telesco was recently asked at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on the future of Davante Adams. He said that “he’s a Raider.” While that does not guarantee that Adams will not be traded, we have seen some comments said and then flipped in the past. One notable example was the Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury stating that “Josh is our guy” referring to Josh Rosen, the former first-round pick of the Cardinals who was traded to Miami months later.

But at this point it seems highly unlikely that Davante Adams will be sent off this off-season. It looks like the star receiver in here to stay in Las Vegas.
