Baker Mayfield and the Carolina Panthers will be taking on Jimmy Garapolo and the San Fransico 49ers in a Week 5 match-up. The final injury report for this game has been announced, What does the injury report look like for the Panthers? Will these injuries affect their roster? How is this game expected to turn out?

What Does their Injury Report look like?

The Panthers are missing several key players due to injury, Safety Jeremy Chinn was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, and wide receiver Lavishka Shenault has been ruled out of Sunday’s game vs San Francisco with a hamstring injury Shenault could miss multiple weeks.

Safety Xavier Woods remains questionable for this game he along with Shenault, is dealing with a hamstring injury, cornerback Stanley Thomas-Oliver III has been ruled out with a thigh injury, and tight end Stephen Sullivan has been ruled out with a back injury. All those players did not practice on Friday. There is one player that was limited in practice on Friday that was Frankie Luvu, Luvu is dealing with a hamstring injury like most players on the list.

Defensive end Marquis Hayes Sr. is dealing with a knee injury, and he is questionable, linebacker Shaq Thompson on the other hand is a game-time decision he is also dealing with a knee injury those two players were able to fully participate in practice on Friday, and are likely to play on Sunday.

It is worth noting furthermore, Christian McCaffery has dealt with a worrisome thigh injury throughout the week leading up to the game, he is likely to play against the 49ers.

Will these Injuries affect the Game-Day Roster?

The Panthers will be without Shenault, he has been a great addition to the Panthers and will be missed in the passing game, although the Panthers still have star wide-receiver D.J Moore and Robby Anderson.

Frankie Luvu as stated previously is questionable to play against the 49ers, he has been a stud on defense for the Panthers, notching his first career interception last week against the Arizona Cardinals. Shaq Thompson will likely play on Sunday, he along with Luvu is a key piece for that Carolina defense following on from his pick-six in Week Four. This game will likely be a test of each team’s defenses, both teams have great defenses and not great offenses
