Ohio State Sadly Loses Star Player To Injury And Will Miss The Entire 2024-2025 Season

Ohio State basketball is heading into a new era under new head coach Jake Diebler. He had a great offseason, landing star players from the transfer portal. Unfortunately, one of the players who was already on the roster from last year was injured and will miss the entire 2024-2025 season.

According to reports, Taison Chatman tore his ACL in his left knee and underwent surgery on Tuesday.

Chatman is from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was the 33rd-ranked player in the 2023 class, according to 247sports.com.

The 6-foot-4, 175-pound guard appeared as a true freshman in 17 games last season, averaging 4.2 minutes a game.

The Buckeyes will have one of the best backcourt duos of Meechie Johnson Jr. and Bruce Thornton, but Chatman would've been an excellent option off the bench. We will have to wait and see him again in 2025-2026.

Ohio State should have a nice season this year. It is going to stink not being able to see Chatman make a mark on the team on the court, but he could very well help them off the court, and I'm sure he will be able to do it.
