NBA Cup 2024 Further Details Revealed
Last season, the NBA introduced the In-Season Tournament. This occurs in the middle of the season from November to December. It has been announced that it is coming back for the 2024/25 NBA Season. Yesterday, the NBA also revealed some interesting new details on it, including the new name, groups, and what the players get.
New Name
Last season, it was called the In-Season Tournament, which was a bland name. It was so bland that even the Washington Commanders and Utah Hockey Club were jealous of it. It will be called the NBA Cup, which is a much better name. It is also being sponsored by the airline company, Emirates. The NBA gets more sponsorship money as a result of this Tournament.

What Do the Players/Teams Get?
According to the tweet above, the teams are competing for an NBA cup, league honors, and a prize pool for the players. The specific details of the prize pool are unclear, but it is likely a hefty bonus or economic boost. As for League honors, it is just bragging rights,
The NBA Cup is pointless as a whole. It's not as bad as the Play-In Tournament, as that just puts mediocrity on a pedestal. Hopefully, the NBA gets rid of those awful courts used last season. It was so annoying to watch them play on those courts, and it needs to be changed for next season. At least the NBA Cup name is a lot better than the In-Season Tournament label it received last season.
