March Madness Produces Game Of The Year In Thrilling Fashion

The first game of the second weekend of March Madness might have been one of the best college basketball games played in a while.

Michigan State faced off against Kansas State at the Madison Square Garden, and if playing at the MSG doesn’t get you fired up, I don’t know what will.

Michigan State came in rolling after beating USC and Marquette last weekend and Kansas State might be the most underrated three-seed ever coming off wins against Montana State and Kentucky.

Kansas State-Michigan State has been the best game in the tournament so far. This game deserved overtime. Let’s go. — Field Yates (@FieldYates) March 24, 2023

If you like scoring then this game was for you because the scoreboard lit up for two halves, and it was so great the game went to overtime.

Star Players Shined Bright

Michigan State’s Joey Hauser and AJ Hoggard stole the show for the Spartans, and on the other side, Kansas State’s Keyontae Johnson and Markquis Nowell were excellent.

Nowell was the player of the game, and this man could hardly walk. Nowell ended up hurting his ankle in the game, but he fought throughout it and put on a show for the MSG.

Nowell ended up with 20 points, but his passing was the story of the game. He finished with 19 assists and broke a tournament record.

Kansas State (-105 ML) is MOVING ON to the Elite Eight 🔥🔥 Markquis Nowell broke an NCAA record with NINETEEN assists to lead the Wildcats to a thrilling victory over Michigan State 😱😱 WHAT. A. GAME.pic.twitter.com/gtneDkTJj0 — Ballislife Bets (@BallislifeBets) March 24, 2023

This man got 19 assists, and he was playing on one ankle. It was one of the best performances by a player in March Madness history.

The defense was not even a thought in this game, and if you tried to play it didn’t work at all until the final possession of the game.

There was a total of 24 three-pointers made, and the final score was 98-93 Kansas State.

Even though Michigan State lost they still played great, and with a game like this you want both teams to win, but Michigan State was the odd team out this time.

Kansas State Keeps Proving People Wrong

Kansas State has been one of the best stories in college basketball all year and it starts with head coach Jerome Tang. Tang took over as the head coach this season after spending a handful of years as an assistant at Baylor.

A preseason poll had the Wildcats picked to finish dead last in the Big 12, and jokes on them because this team is heading to the Elite Eight.

Kansas State plays in Manhattan Kansas, referred to as the little apple, but they get to play in Manhattan, New York in the big apple to try and clinch a spot in the Final Four.

March Madness has had tons of big moments so far this year and the biggest one was the number one seed Purdue falling to the sixteen seed Fairleigh Dickinson, but when it comes to the game from start to finish the one we just saw in New York takes the cake.
