Kentucky Lands Exciting Four Star Commitment

Updated: Jun 28, 2023

Four-Star Quarterback Cutter Boley on Thursday morning at Lexington Christian Academy verbally committed to the Kentucky Wildcats . Boley is ranked as the third overall QB in the nation, 39th overall prospect in the country, and the top overall prospect in Kentucky in the 2025 class per On3 industry rankings. He currently holds enough credits to be considered at 2024 recruit and the NCAA has given him approval to take his official visits this summer. In his announcement he confirmed that he will reclassify to the 2024 class and be an early enrollee in January of 2024.

Since January and the return of Liam Coen back as offensive coordinator for the Kentucky Wildcats football team there has been a buzz about Cutter Boley and UK. There have been a few visits between both parties and last week Boley announced his only official visit that he has lined up. That visit is scheduled for June 9th-11th at the University of Kentucky. His Top Ten list of schools included Kentucky, Florida State, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, Alabama, Oregon, Notre Dame, Miami, FL, and TCU. A who’s who listed of top college football programs.

Before his announcement he had trimmed that list down to five; Kentucky, Florida State, Michigan, Penn State, and Tennessee. Instead of the normal custom hats on the table he had a team designed shoe on the table for his announcement . The 6’5” 203lbs QB from Lexington is a monumental grab by Mark Stoops and Liam Coen. Keeping Boley’s talent at home with all the top college football teams after him is a definite testament to the stature gained by Kentucky football. As well as a huge statement that UK isn’t going away anytime soon.

Why Kentucky?

Asked Thursday why he committed to Kentucky over offers from most of the traditional college football powers, Cutter Boley was clear. “It was Coen coming back,” he said. Boley was initially planning a year at a prep school after graduating from LCA in 2024. He now will choose to enroll in college immediately after graduation. He will be on UK’s campus in January, just weeks after North Carolina State transfer Devin Leary plays his final college game for the Wildcats. Check out Stadium Rant for more fan-run content.
