Josh Reynolds Fantasy Value Down On His New Team?
Last season, Josh Reynolds was one of the Detroit Lions' hidden gems on offense. He put up very respectable numbers on the 64 targets he got; Reynolds had 40 catches for 608 yards and 5 touchdowns. Reynolds had three weeks where he finished as a WR2 or better, but he was an emergency flex play the rest of the time.
It was not a bad season, and the Broncos decided to give him a contract to replace Jerry Juedy. He has the potential to be a player on the offense. However, there's two main problems with taking Reynolds.
First, the QBs on this team are terrible. Bo Nix may have promise, but he is still super raw. Zach Wilson is horrendous, and Jarrett Stidham wasn't impressive either. Problem number 2 is that there is a decent amount of competition at wide receiver (Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims, Courtland Sutton), and it is not certain what Reynolds' role will be on this offense or if he will be the starter.
Our consensus projections for Reynolds in the 2024 season would be 41 receptions, 469 yards, and 2 touchdowns.
