Jim Harbaugh Appears To Be Leaving Michigan With This Latest Sign
On Sunday afternoon, Michigan's starting quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, declared for the NFL Draft. McCarthy had an impressive season, went undefeated, and won the National Championship, so going out on top could be why he will not return to school, but it also could hint that his head coach, Jim Harbaugh, will be heading to the NFL.
Harbaugh could have any head coaching job he wants now at the NFL level, and the Los Angeles Chargers are very interested.
I could see McCarthy wanting to return to school, but knowing that his head coach was leaving and most of the skill position and offensive linemen were going to the NFL, it was probably the best decision for the quarterback.
It has been the worst-kept secret in sports the last year that Harbaugh wants to coach in the NFL again, and this is the perfect time to go back; he just turned 60 years old, won a title, and was suspended for six games last season due to two different violations and is still under investigation by the NCAA for the cheating scandal that could either go away or blow up the program we will have to wait and see on that.
Harbaugh is as good as gone, and McCarthy leaving is one of the most significant signs that it will happen.
