Isaiah Spiller's Fantasy Outlook For 2024
In his two seasons in the NFL, Isaiah Spiller has failed to reach his expectations. He spent his first two years being stuck behind Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelley and has never really been given huge opportunities, only getting 37 carries in 2023 (in which he only produced 96 yards, 2.6 yards per carry). This offseason, the Chargers moved on from both Ekeler and Kelly, which gave many hopes that Spiller would have the chance to step up.
However, the front office showed their lack of faith in him by signing free agents Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins and drafting Kimani Vidal. This puts Spiller in a position where he might not even make the active roster. Even if he does get a solid opportunity, his ineffectiveness so far gives little hope for fantasy production. It is unlikely Spiller finds a role in the Chargers offense this season and should not be rostered in almost all fantasy formats.
Our consensus projections for Spiller in the 2024 season are 30 carries for 141 yards and 1 rushing touchdown. As well as 1 reception, 8 yards, and 0 touchdowns.
