Is The Next Panthers Head Coach Already In The Building?
The 2023 season was a nightmare for the Carolina Panthers and their fans. The club finished with a 2-15 record and continued their eight-season division title drought.
This wasn't the way it was supposed to go for Carolina and head coach Frank Reich. The team made a massive move to trade up in the 2023 NFL Draft so they could select Bryce Young. The rookie has failed to meet expectations (through his first season at least), and the team struggles led to the firing of Reich 11 games into the relationship. Now the Panthers hold the league's worst record, while their first-round pick belongs to the Chicago Bears.

What Do The Panthers Do Next?
Next up for the Carolina Panthers? Find their next head coach. While there are several names on the market -- including recently-fired Mike Vrabel -- it seems the team may be looking for within for their next leader.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Panthers blocked a recent request from the Jacksonville Jaguars to interview defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero. Fowler also reported that Carolina was planning to interview Evero for their own head coach opening.
The Panthers' defense allowed the fourth-fewest yards and points allowed this season. Brian Burns was the defensively super star, recording a team-high eight sacks, 16 tackles for loss and 18 quarterback hits.
Considering how inefficient the offense was for the Panthers, you have to admire the job Evero has done in 2023. His hard work has rightfully earned him a shot at his first NFL head coaching opportunity.
