Injury Report: Colts’ Look to Get Healthy Before Facing Titans
The Colts have been without running back Jonathan Taylor and linebacker Shaquille Leonard for two weeks. Will the Colts be able to get at least one of them back before their matchup with the Tennessee Titans?
Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has missed two straight games. There was some hope last week that he was going to play week six after logging two limited practices. We are now in Week Seven, and the hope is that Taylor will log enough practices and that he feels comfortable out there on the field to suit up against the Titans.

The Colts have ruled Shaquille Leonard, Kwity Paye, JoJo Domann and Keke Coutee out for Sunday's road game against the Titans. Leonard cleared the concussion protocol today, but they want to give him a little more build-up before playing in a game. — Nate Atkins (@NateAtkins_) October 21, 2022
Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner/rest did not participate in practice due to a rest day.
Cornerback Stephon Gilmore/rest, center Ryan Kelly/rest, defensive end Yannick Ngakoue/rest, defensive tackle Grover Stewart/rest were all full participants in practice on Friday.
Tight end Kylen Granson/neck and running back Jonathan Taylor/ankle started the week as limited participants, but logged back to back “full participants” on Thursday and Friday.
Safety Julian Blackmon/ankle, running back Nyheim Hines/concussion, and running back Deon Jackson/quad were full participants for the entire week.
The hope this week is to get Jonathan Taylor back on the field. Last week, he said he was not quite ready, but felt more like himself this week in practice. Frank Reich said on Friday, “I anticipate Taylor playing, we’ll see if there are any limitations. If ‘J.T.’ is healthy and he’s in the mode, it’s going to be ‘J.T.’’s game. Then, Nyheim and Deon (Jackson) would be complementary pieces”. This would be a huge boost to an offense that seems to have somewhat found their rhythm.

Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines are returning back to action this week for the Colts. Look for Taylor and Hines to get the bulk of the work and Deon Jackson to come in to relieve them.
