Four Must-Play Patriots Prop Bets For This Week’s Game
It’s nice to be correct. Last week, I manifested Devon McCourty intercepting his first pass of the season. I felt something in my gut and ran with it. People should do that more often.
The Patriots host the Colts in a significant Week Nine matchup. Both teams have similar issues, looking for that win to spark their season. The defenses carry their teams week in and week out. It’s time for an offense to make a move.
I sense a shift in momentum for New England on Sunday. Indianapolis showed another signed of waving the white flag, trading Nyheim Hines to Buffalo. Deon Jackson has produced better than defending rushing champion Jonathan Taylor. The Patriots have a slight edge in this contest, at least on paper.
Here are the guys who will be all-stars on the field, putting money in your wallet.
Jakobi Meyers Catches OVER 4.5 Passes.
The Patriots receiving core has been underwhelming this season. The high hopes have fallen but have given one hungry wide-out to thrive. Jakobi Meyers continues to be Mac’s safety valve. He bails Jones out of situations, earning a first down and more in the process.
Last week, he caught nine passes on 13 targets for 60 yards and a touchdown. The Colts’ secondary has been solid this season, but Meyers finds a way to get open. Gilmore seems to have lost a step in his game. Don’t believe me? Look at what Terry McLaurin did to him last week.

Rhamondre Stevenson AND Damien Harris Score Touchdowns.
This is not going to be a shootout. Both teams struggled at the quarterback position this season. This game is going to be determined on the ground.
The Patriots’ two-headed monster of Damien Harris and Rhomandre Stevenson has been the driving force of the offense in 2022. They combine for 185 carries for 860 yards and seven touchdowns. It’s the most exciting aspect of watching this team play on Sundays.
The Colts have a ferocious defensive line, but Stevenson finds a way to break away from defenders and burst off massive runs. Harris doesn’t shy away from contact either, averaging almost three yards after contact. Jones will rely on them on the goal line to punch it in. One touchdown per half makes you a happy gambler.
Deatrich Wise Sacks Sam Ehlinger Twice.
The Patriots’ defense deserves a majority of the credit for the team’s success, specifically the defensive line. Judon leads the charge with his league-leading 8.5 sacks, but his supporting cast deserves some recognition, too. Deatrich Wise stepped up this season. He has five sacks, two forced fumbles, and pass deflections. He is a disruptor in the pocket.
Most QB pressures this season… Matt Judon – 28 Nick Bosa – 27 Trey Hendrickson – 22 Micah Parsons – 20 Josh Allen – 18 Sam Hubbard – 18 Chris Jones – 18 Carl Lawson – 18 Montez Sweat – 18 Deatrich Wise Jr – 18 — NFL Stats (@NFL_Stats) November 5, 2022
The Colts’ offensive line needs to step it up. Quenton Nelson and Ryan Kelley are two of the league’s best at their position but are not living up to the title. The Patriots’ pass rush is going to eat them alive. Wise will feast. Godchaux may even get in the mix. It’s going to get ugly. It certainly isn’t going to help that Ehlinger is so experienced.
The Patriots and Colts Will Score OVER Forty Points.
It’s not going to be pretty, but points are going on that scoreboard. Mac needs to rely on the run to move the ball down the field; Stevenson and Harris need to step up. Don’t be fancy on the goal line. Hand it off and push through.
Mac will throw one touchdown, probably to Jakobi Meyers. Three scores for both teams put them at 42 points at least. Oh, look at that, the over hit.
