Five Jets Emerge On This Year’s NFL Top 100 List

After having zero Jets appear on the NFL Top 100 list in 2022, New York has five players representing the green and white heading into 2023. Those players include Garrett Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, C.J. Mosley, Quinnen Williams, and Sauce Gardner.

Since 2011, the NFL has released its list of the game's top performers, all of which are voted on by the current players in the league.

No. 74 - WR Garrett Wilson

The reigning offensive rookie of the year is the first Jet to debut on the top 100 list as they countdown to the number one spot. In his rookie season, Garrett Wilson racked up 83 receptions for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns.

Wilson was able to get this type of production while dealing with a QB carousel consisting of Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, and Mike White. The sky is the limit for the former 10th overall pick as he enters his sophomore season with four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers as his new quarterback.

No. 51 - QB Aaron Rodgers

The 10-time pro bowler makes his first appearance on the list as a member of the New York Jets.

Coming off of back-to-back MVP seasons and finishing third on the list in 2022, Aaron Rodgers sits at 51 after having a “down year” during his last season in Green Bay.

Rodgers threw for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns with 12 interceptions last season. Coming out of the darkness and ready to continue his NFL career, the Jets look to capitalize on Rodgers’ new-found motivation in their quest to compete for a Super Bowl.

No. 46 - LB C.J. Mosley

This is C.J. Mosley’s fourth appearance on the NFL Top 100 list, his first since 2019. The five-time pro bowler played in all 17 games last season totaling 158 tackles, a sack, and an interception.

Mosley looks to make 2023 the third consecutive season of posting 150+ tackles as he captains this Jets' defense to potentially another top-five finish.

No. 40 - DL Quinnen Williams

Williams finds himself at number 40 on this year’s list after coming off a career year in his fourth season in the league. The former third-overall pick totaled 55 tackles, along with 12 sacks and 28 QB hits in 2022.

Quinnen Williams’ efforts last year earned him a huge payday this offseason when he signed a four-year, $96 million extension with New York. The pro bowl defensive lineman looks to build off of last year’s breakout season as one of the prominent members of this Jets defense.

No. 23 - CB Sauce Gardner

Last on this countdown but the first ranked Jet on the NFL Top 100 list is none other than star cornerback Sauce Gardner.

Much like Garrett Wilson, Sauce is the reigning defensive rookie of the year coming off of last season. The fourth-overall selection in 2022 totaled 75 tackles, two interceptions, and 20 pass deflections, which led the league last year.

New York’s pro bowl defensive back is arguably one of the best corners in the league and Sauce will be looking to keep his name in that conversation in 2023.
