Five Best Eagles Stars 25 And Under
The Philadelphia Eagles have plenty of veteran players on their roster, but the young players are the future of the franchise. Who are the five best Eagles stars that are 25 years old and under?
A.J. Brown
Eagles fans have yet to see A.J. Brown play for the Eagles, but he is expected to be the number one receiver the team has desperately needed. Brown recently turned 25 years old and had three productive seasons for the Tennessee Titans including a Pro-Bowl selection.
The Eagles flipped a draft pick for the former Ole Miss star who is also friends with Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. Brown and Hurts have already been building their chemistry and it will be exciting to see how it plays out on the field. The Eagles have Brown signed through the 2026 season.

Devonta Smith
The Eagles are fortunate to have two young star receivers. Smith is just 23 years old and broke franchise records for a rookie last year. The former Alabama star, Heisman winner, and national champion had over 900 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2021.
Smith will form a dangerous and young wide receiver due with A.J. Brown. The two former SEC stars should give Jalen Hurts plenty of room to throw the ball to and help open up the field for the tight ends and running backs.
Jordan Mailata
Jordan Malaita was quite a find in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was a former Australian rugby star and did not start playing football until 2018. Since getting drafted by the Eagles, he has gotten better every year.
In 2021, Mailata scored an 87.4 grade from Pro Football Focus and was responsible for just three sacks. He is already one of the league’s best offensive tackles and only 25 years old. The fan-favorite is signed for four more years in Philadelphia.
Josh Sweat
The Eagles took Josh Sweat in the fourth round of the 2018 draft. He is one of the team’s best young defensive linemen and will enter the season at 25 years old. Sweat had 45 tackles and 7.5 sacks in 2021 which was good enough for his first Pro-Bowl selection.
Sweat will play alongside veteran defensive lineman such as Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, and Javon Hargrave. The Eagles looked to the future by drafting nose tackle Jordan Davis in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft.
Jalen Hurts
Eagles fans have mixed feelings on whether Jalen Hurts can be the long-term starter in Philadelphia, but he is just 23 years old. Hurts deserves the time to develop and grow as an NFL quarterback. He has the right leadership qualities and is motivated to get better.
Hurts finished the 2021 season with over 3,000 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He led NFL quarterbacks in rushing with nearly 800 yards on the ground and ten touchdowns. Hurts had his bad moments but there is clearly potential as he guided the Eagles to a playoff appearance. He will have a better team around him in 2022, so he is expected to take a step forward.
In Conclusion
The Eagles have plenty of young star players to build around for the future. Would you add any to the list?
