Colts Win Leads To Three-Way Division Race
The Colts were in a must-win situation against the Steelers and they managed to pull off a win. They are now playing their best ball in December, despite being down by 13 early. This team is relentless and exciting to watch. If they continue to play at a high level, they still have a chance to win the division.
Dominant Second Half
Going down 13 was worrisome. It felt like déjà vu from the Bengals game. The terrible open-field tackles, offensive line, and a blocked punt made the first half miserable to watch. However, it seemed like Minshew flipped a switch the next series, driving straight down for a touchdown. The ball was given right back after a beautiful interception by Nick Cross.
The Colts found a way to take the lead right before the half, thanks to the impressive off-the-bench performance by D.J. Montgomery. In the second half, the defense locked down Trubisky, and Trey Sermon went on to have an 88-yard game to push the Colts to a blowout victory in the second half.
Christmas Eve In Atlanta
It's time to move on and prepare for Atlanta. They aren't a good team, but we can't take them lightly. At the time of writing, Arthur Smith is "unsure" who will start at quarterback. To me, it seems Ridder is checked out. We should be able to dominate the Falcons for a nice early Christmas gift on Christmas Eve.
Three-Team Division Race
Believe it or not, the Colts are in a three-way tie to win the division. We haven't won the division since 2014, but if the Colts win out and have the Jags lose one more game. With teams remaining on the schedule it's 100% possible. Just have to take it one game at a time.
Win and in. The Colts seem to be gaining momentum at the right time as the Jaguars and Texans are struggling. The Jaguars have a quarterback who is barely managing to lead them to losses, while the Texans' backup quarterback, Case Keenum, is washed up. My prediction for this week's game against the Atlanta Falcons is that the Colts will win with a score of 24 to 10.
