The Perfect Chicago Bears Mock Draft
The 2024 NFL Draft is in Detroit, but we know it runs through Chicago. Chicago holds two picks in the top ten of the upcoming NFL draft. It's known who they will select with the first overall pick, but it remains unclear what they will do with their ninth overall pick. Will they decide to stick with their original pick or trade it back? Only time will tell. Let's look at my latest prediction on how the Bears will fare in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Round 1 Pick 1: Caleb Williams, QB, USC
This has been the selection since Chicago was gifted the first overall pick from the Carolina Panthers. Caleb Williams is one of the most well-rounded quarterbacks coming into the NFL Draft I have watched. His arm talent is unrivaled along with flawless mechanics and extend the play ability that franchises would mountains to have.
Round 1 Pick 9 -> Round 1 Pick: Laiatu Latu, Edge, UCLA
Bears Receive: Pick 16, 2025 R1 and R3 pick.
Seahawks Receive: Pick 9 and 2025 R3
All three wide receivers of the big wide receivers were off the board, so we traded down, gathered more draft capital, and addressed a position of need. Laiatu Latu hand's fighting is terrific. He was a wide variety of pass rush moves that make him a terror off the edge.
Round 3 Pick 75: Malik Washington, WR, Virginia
He's limited to the slot due to his struggles against press coverage but his elite footwork that creates separation and yards after the catch ability makes him dangerous in space.
Round 4 Pick 122: Leonard Taylor III, DT, Miami
Taylor has flashes that are worthy of a first-round pick from his strong initial punch and quick get off. He's inconsistent in hand placement and his pad level can be too high. If developed by the right coaching staff, he can be a steal for a franchise.
