Champions League Semi-Finals Are Set Promising To Deliver A Spectacle

The Champions League Quarter-Finals came and delivered fireworks of the highest order. Every match was enthralling and exciting, keeping fans at the edge of their seats until the last minute, no matter what team they supported. In the end only 4 teams remain, all looking to win the special Champions League trophy. 

Bayern Munich were able to overcome Arsenal after two close affairs, making them the first semi-finalist of the competition. They will be facing Real Madrid, after Madrid was able to take Manchester City to penalties, and ultimately go through to the next round thanks to their goalie Andriy Lunin who was outstanding across the two legs. The first leg of the semi- finals will be played on April 30th at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany with the second leg being played on May 8th at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid, Spain.

Paris Saint-Germain played two very close games against Barcelona, but ultimately the Parisians were able to get the better of Barcelona and advanced to the Semi-Finals of the Champions League. Borussia Dortmund seemed down and out after losing the first leg away against Atletico Madrid. Still, they were able to pull off an incredible comeback at home to advance to the next rounds. The Parisians will be visiting Dortmund in the first leg on May 1st, with Dortmund then making the journey to Paris for the second, and final leg on May 8th. 

The Champions League Semi-Finals have fans excited about what will happen, and if the Quarter-Finals were anything to go by, then fans can expect to be treated to high scoring games, with drama, and incredible performances from all the players on the pitch. On May 8th fans will finally be able to know which teams will match up in the Champions League final come June.
