The Dallas Stars have reached the first round of the playoffs against the Vegas Golden Knights. The Stars have swapped the series from 0-2 to 3-2 and are looking to clutch the series. How did they get here and why is this such a significant series?
What got the Dallas Stars here?
The Dallas Stars ended their regular season with 52 wins, 21 losses, and 9 overtime losses bringing them to the top of the Central Division. This powerful display in the regular season was proof to Stars fans that Dallas should have what it takes to go all the way.
The stars were led by shining young stars in Jason Robertson and Wyatt Johnston with veterans like Tyler Seguin and their captain Jamie Benn by their side.
Not to mention, Dallas pulled back a two-game deficit and won three straight games to take the lead in the series.
Why is Vegas such a threat?
Dallas had a bad history against Vegas coming into this series. The Knights were 11-3-3 against Dallas in regular season play since the team started in 2017. To go along with that, Vegas is the returning Champions who are looking to grab another Stanley Cup.

Dallas has a good chance to take game six while holding on to this momentum. Vegas was incredibly sloppy in game five. Jake Ottinger has held strong all season long in the late time of games and the Dallas offense has been able to find the net enough to put games away.
