Broncos Record Prediction: Week One Through Five

In this article, I will go through the first five games, and give my prediction on the outcome!

Week One: Seattle Seahawks

Broncos-Seahawks WK 1: Who wins? – Powered By PickUp

The NFL lined up Russell Wilson’s first game with the Broncos perfectly! On the first Monday night football game of the season, Wilson and the Broncos will ride into Lumen Field to take on the Seahawks. The Seahawks are coming into the season without a clear plan, they have multiple running backs capable of carrying the load. Also, Pete Carroll has yet to name a starting quarterback between Geno Smith and Drew Lock, no matter which one of them he chooses their ceiling isn’t very high. With a declining Seahawks team, I say the Broncos leave this game with an easy win!

Week Two: Houston Texans

The Texans come to Empower Field at Mile High stadium in week two for the Bronco’s first home game. the Texans did not make many improvements this offseason, they mainly re-signed a lot of players and added a few small pieces. Davis Mills and Brandin Cooks are easily the highlights of the team. The defense for the Texans is very lackluster, having no big game changers. Head coach Lovie Smith will have a rough season getting some wins with one of the weakest rosters in the entire NFL. In conclusion, I think the Broncos are far too good for the Texans to handle this season, Broncos will start the season 2-0.

Week Three: San Francisco 49ers

This game will be a battle, both rosters have immense talent and comradery. The 49ers are coming into the year with a new quarterback under center, but Trey Lance has about the same potential as players like Josh Allen, Kyler Murray, and Lamar Jackson. Other than the new quarterback the 49ers are still stacked with talent on both sides of the ball. The Bronco’s defense will have to come out strong and keep putting pressure on the young quarterback while still keeping him contained in the backfield. I believe the Broncos will take the win only because of the difference at the quarterback position.

Week Four: Las Vegas Raiders

I have the Raiders coming into this game with a record of 2-1, and the Broncos 3-0. This will be a fun matchup to watch twice this season. The Raiders coming into this season with some big game-changing players such as Davantae Adams, Rock Ya-Sin, and Chandler Jones. Also, the Raiders have a new head coach in Josh McDaniels, who has been a very good coordinator but his past head coaching experience did not end the way he expected. Despite having a new head coach and a few new teammates, I believe Derek Carr will lead the Raiders to a victory over the Broncos in week four.

Week Five: Indianapolis Colts

The Broncos are back home at Mile High in week five facing the Colts. The Colts also are coming into the season with a new quarterback under center, but its former MVP Matt Ryan. Matt Ryan is coming into a situation similar to Russell Wilson where the team has been pretty much built but just needed that final piece to the puzzle. This game will be a defensive battle despite having two high-caliber quarterbacks, the defenses in my opinion are a little bit stronger than the offenses. While this will be a tough-fought game I have the Broncos squeaking out a win over Matt Ryan and the Colts.
