Bet These NFL Teams To Go Over Their Projected Win Total
The National Football League season is still a few months away, with the draft in a few weeks, but there is still a lot of excitement about the upcoming season. After some chaotic movies during free agency, Kirk Cousins took his talents to Atlanta, Russell Wilson, and Justin Fields headed to Pittsburgh, and wide receiver Keenan Allen was shipped off to Chicago.
BetMGM Sportsbook has released its 2024 NFL win total odds for all 32 teams. The book is high on the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs returning to the playoffs and low on the Cousins-less Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here are some NFL teams to bet the OVER on for the 2024 NFL season.
Carolina Panthers OVER 4.5 Wins
The Carolina Panthers only won two games last season after a disastrous season. But there is much hope that the Panthers can win five or more games in 2024. After Bryce Young's chaotic rookie season, which saw him struggle as he ran for his life, Carolina invested a lot of money in protection signing Robert Hunt, Yosh Nijman, and Damien Lewis.
They also have traded for wide receiver Dionte Johnson and will likely add another in the draft. There is plenty of hope for over five wins in Charlotte.
Cincinnati Bengals OVER 10.5 Wins
This may seem like a stretch, but the Bengals won nine games last season without their star quarterback, Joe Burrow. While the team might be without Tee Higgins if he gets his trade wish and Joe Mixon, there are still plenty of weapons in the offense including new tight end Mike Gesicki and running back Zach Moss.
The defense added safety Geno Stone and tackle Sheldon Rankins. With Burrow, this was a 12-win team and they should easily be in the running for the AFC North title in 2024-25.
Houston Texans OVER 8.5 Wins
The Houston Texans shocked the world by winning the AFC South and finishing 10-7. Now, the team will get fully healthy again with the addition of Stefon Diggs as well. The team also heavily improved a solid defense, adding Danielle Hunter and Denico Autry to the defensive line. While the AFC South got much better as well, the Texans have had the best offseason out of the four and should, at worst, be a nine-win team in 2024.
Pittsburgh Steelers OVER 7.5 Wins
This was a surprise as the Steelers have never finished with a losing record under Mike Tomlin. The team got better this off-season after winning 10 games last season and there is no doubt they will finish with nine or more wins this season. Easiest lock of the season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers OVER 7.5 Wins
This is another shock as the Buccaneers finished 9-8 and ended the season on a hot streak narrowly losing in the divisional round to the Detroit Lions. With Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans coming back with new extensions, Tampa Bay should be able to win eight or more games, even with looming competition from the Saints and Falcons.
