Bet These NFL Teams To Go Under Their Projected Win Total
The National Football League season is still a few months away, with the draft in a few weeks, but there is still a lot of excitement about the upcoming season. After some chaotic movies during free agency, Kirk Cousins took his talents to Atlanta, Russell Wilson, and Justin Fields headed to Pittsburgh, and wide receiver Keenan Allen was shipped off to Chicago.
BetMGM Sportsbook has released its 2024 NFL win total odds for all 32 teams. The book is high on the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs returning to the playoffs and low on the Cousins-less Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here are some NFL teams to bet the UNDER on for the 2024 NFL season.
Los Angeles Chargers UNDER 8.5 Wins
The Chargers are under new management, with a new general manager and head coach, Jim Harbaugh. I believe he will help LA become a Super Bowl contender in a few seasons, but it will be hard with a depleted receiving core that lost Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.
Navigating the off-season with barely any cap space was hard, and I am concerned about whether the team will be able to make the playoffs in a loaded conference. I see them hitting eight wins.
New York Jets UNDER 9.5 Wins
This is a huge season for the Jets, and Aaron Rodgers' return after suffering a season-ending injury in Week One has generated a lot of hype. New York has not been to the playoffs in over a decade and will look to turn the tide this season. If they do, I think they will sneak in at nine wins, but they will sit behind the Bills and possibly the Dolphins within the difference.
Washington Commanders UNDER 6.5 Wins
The Commanders will have a new signal caller in 2024 after finishing 4-13 and another disappointing season. Although Washington has added the most players in free agency this spring, I see them finishing with six wins but showing a lot of flashes throughout the season. I still think the future is bright in DC.
Chicago Bears UNDER 8.5 Wins
The Bears are entering a new era likely with a rookie quarterback favored to be Caleb Wiliams. Chicago hopes to have a Texans-like season in 2024 and make the playoffs for the first time in years. I think the Bears will come close but fall short of the projected total as the Packers and Lions will fight at the top for Kings of the North.
Baltimore Ravens UNDER 11.5 Wins
This might be a hot take, but I see the Ravens finishing with 10-11 wins this season but not over. While Baltimore did not get better or worse this off-season, the rest of the division has improved. With Cleveland and Cincinnati getting healthy, it could be a tight race for the division which sees Baltimore fail to match its win total from 2023.
