Baltimore Orioles Owner Passes Away At 94 Years Old

It was a very sad day on Saturday when the current Baltimore Orioles Owner, Peter G. Angelos, passed away at 94 years old.

The Angelos family released a statement on Saturday: "Today Peter G. Angelos passed away quietly at 94. Mr. Angelos had been ill for several years, and the family thanked the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who brought comfort to him in his final years. It was Angelos's wish to have a private burial, and the family asks for understanding as they honor that request. Donations may be sent to charity in lieu of flowers."

Angelos has owned the Orioles for over 30 years when he bought the team in 1993 for 173 million dollars. Peter turned over the chairman's duties of the team to his son, John, in 2020.

The Oriole's season starts next week, and they are expected to have a very good season, just like they did in 2023. Baltimore was in the basement of the MLB for about five years, but last season, the team took off, and hopefully, they will be able to do that again this year for Peter Angelos.
