2024 Fantasy Football Week Four Buy-Lows
Here are a few underperforming studs that are great buy-low options! Trade for them now before it is too late!
Brandon Aiyuk, WR, San Francisco 49ers
It has been a rough few weeks for the San Francisco 49ers this season and part of that falls on Brandon Aiyuk’s slow start. Through the first three weeks of the NFL season, Aiyuk has only 11 receptions for 119 yards and zero touchdowns. To put that into perspective, fellow wide receiver Jauan Jennings had 11 receptions, 175 yards, and three touchdowns just last week. While those are insane numbers for a single game, Aiyuk failing to put up those numbers in three games is a problem. He is currently fantasy’s WR58 and could be fairly easy to acquire if the owner is scared about his current production.
While Brandon Aiyuk's slow start is frustrating, he should turn it around shortly. Since entering the league, he has been a WR3 at worst, and that was early in his career when he was still working into the team’s rotation. While being in a featured role for the past two seasons, he has finished as the WR14 and WR15. Aiyuk did miss the entire 2024 preseason and offseason training due to contract disputes with the 49ers which is proving to be more significant than one would initially think. He needs time to shake the dust off and should be producing solid fantasy numbers like the Brandon Aiyuk of old. Trade for him now or you might not be able to in a few weeks.
Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots
After finishing as the RB7 and RB13 in weeks one and two, Rhamondre Stevenson had a horrible fantasy week in week three, finishing as the RB78 with only 0.3 fantasy points. He had only six carries for 23 yards and one fumble. The New England Patriots failed to keep up with the Jets offense in week three, forcing them to abandon the run game early on. His usage was odd considering the work he got in the first two weeks.
Even with the negative game script, six touches for Rhamondre Stevenson is unacceptable. He is one of the only bright spots in the Patriot’s offense and needs to be involved more. He should look to get back to form against the 49ers who are struggling this season as well. Even with scary bad usage last week, it would be beneficial to try and swing a trade for the talented running back since his value took a huge hit. He is the Patriot’s best player on offense and will not be limited to six touches often.
Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets
To be clear, Garrett Wilson will not be cheap, but he will be more affordable now than towards the end of the 2024 fantasy season. There were not many players in the fantasy community getting more hype than Wilson. The uber-talented wide receiver for the Jets was finally getting a quarterback who would get him the ball, but the start of the season has not been what many expected.
Garrett Wilson has yet to perform better than the WR29 throughout the first three weeks, which could be connected to not being on the same page as Aaron Rodgers yet. The two have only played three total games together and should start to connect sooner rather than later. Wilson is way too talented not to be thrown to, and Aaron Rodgers knows that. Wilson is the 11th most-targeted receiver in the NFL, yet has the 18th most receptions. The targets are there and it is only a matter of time before the production follows suit. This will be one of the last times anyone can get Wilson before he starts putting up solid WR1 numbers.
